I have my Virago for sale on the Axeman and the national web site and I have received an email that is a scam
(see below) this is apparently becoming common where motor car and motor bikes are for sale.
The scam is that the cheque you receive initially clears within 3 days and you are supposed to send the extra
money via a money gram payment to the buyer and the cheque subsequently bounces and you are out of pocket.
There is a warning on the national web site but just thought that you may want to add this warning about the
dodgy emails to the Axeman web site to warn the members that are advertising their goods for sale.

It is okay, it okay, and I would buy it. I would be taking it then for 1399.00 GBP, but I would prefer to handle the
shipment as I have a rather amount of stuff I would be collecting down in Europe. Note that my client who's owing
me would be sending you a payment for the amount of 3,900 GBP which would include the cost for it and the
shipments.....once you have gotten and cashed the cheque, you deduct your money with an extra 200 GBP,
and have the difference sent to my shipper via moneygram.
Let me have a name and address where I will authorize my client to send the payment to.

I have managed to get out last weekend to a few local bike shops, shock horror Just Bikers
in Shirley have gone, so a good source of clothing has disappeared, but never fear we went to
Hein Gericke opposite the Mayflower Theatre Southampton, only to be greeted by the new
Manager, who promptly offered us a cup of tea and some good advice on what products would
suit our needs, very good service and promised tea /coffee to one and all. So if you are on the
look out for some clothing go check them out. Mayors Motorcycle Care out at Nursling are
now doing rolling road testing on their new state of the art rolling road. Let us not forget
Nick and Chris Sansome at Double Take in Northam for all of your servicing, mot and tuning
needs. For those looking for a new bike of a Honda Variety J2 Honda has opened in West Quay
Road along side the Honda car dealership.

If you own a Yamaha Wildstar and have not been sent a recall notice regarding a
potentially serious fault with the gearbox phone Yamaha UK on 01932 358000 with your
bike details, there have been cases where the notice has gone to the original owner and
not to the present owner. This is a serious fault and can lock the back wheel up, so
it has been suggested if you have not had a notice do not ride your bike contact
Yamaha UK and check to see if you bike needs to be modified. For more info please go

BUPA GREAT SOUTH RUN 2007
Sunday 28th October 2007 -
I will be running in the above event for the Elifar Foundation Charity, The foundation is a charity run
almost entirely by volunteers. It aims to help improve the care, facilities and equipment available
mainly to profoundly disabled children and young adults, whether living at home or in residential care.
For more information see web site below. My aim is to run 8 minute miles for the entire 10 miles,
80 minutes in total, to spice the run up for me and you the sponsors I would like to ask you to sponsor
me more if I come in on or under this time and less if I fail the task! E.G £10.00 on or under £5.00 over
the 80 minutes.
I plan to run the London marathon next year so this will stand me in good stead for that one!
